Case Study:

Rohan, an ex-racehorse

Rohan was rescued and re-homed. He was very wary of human contact, needed heavy sedation to have his teeth rasped, and didn't like anyone touching his poll. By the third treatment he was a different horse, much more relaxed and supple, and he was happy to have his poll touched.

Sara is fully qualified in Human and Equine Bowen therapy as well as being trained in Reiki to the second degree. She received a 1st Class Honours Degree in Equine Sports Science, studied at Nottingham Trent University. This widened her knowledge of all aspects of the horse, including care, nutrition and injury.

Since starting riding at the age of five, Sara has loved being with horses. She realised that she wanted to continue working with them after leaving school, and was particularly interested in complementary therapies and their use to bring about balance and optimal functioning within the body.

"When the Bowen therapy significantly helped a back problem of mine, I realised that I had found an incredibly simple, yet effective therapy. Through my training and beyond, I continue to be surprised by the changes it can bring about."

Sara is fully covered with professional liability insurance. She also attends professional development days to further her knowledge of horses and different therapies.
